Vaccinations
BreederPro lets you track vaccination history for individual animals and for specific animals within a litter.
Log a vaccination for an individual animal
- Open the animal's profile.
- Go to the Health tab.
- Click Add Vaccination.
- Select the vaccine type, enter the date given, and optionally enter the next due date and notes (use notes for batch/lot numbers or other details).
- Click Save.
Log vaccinations for animals in a litter
You can record a vaccination for all or just some of the animals in a litter in one step.
- Open the litter from the program's Reproduction tab.
- Go to the Health tab.
- Click Vaccinate Litter.
- In the form, a checklist of every animal in the litter appears. All animals are checked by default. Uncheck any animals that did not receive the vaccine — for example, if only 2 of 4 kittens were vaccinated, uncheck the other 2.
- Select the vaccine type, enter the date administered, and optionally set a next due date and notes.
- Click Vaccinate Selected.
This creates individual vaccination records for each checked animal. You can view and filter records by animal using the filter button on the Health tab.
Filtering vaccination records in a litter
On the litter Health tab, use the filter dropdown (top right) to show records for specific animals only. This is useful when animals in a litter have different vaccination histories.
Editing or deleting a vaccination
Click the edit (pencil) or delete (trash) icon on any vaccination record to update or remove it. If no booster is due after all, clear the next due date and save: the record keeps its other details and its pending reminder is removed.
Vaccine types
Vaccine types are not pre-populated — you define the ones relevant to your animals. To add a vaccine type:
- Go to Settings > Vaccine Types.
- Click Add Vaccine Type and give it a name.
Your vaccine types are available across all your animals and litters.
Vaccination reminders
You can set a reminder event linked to an upcoming vaccination due date. See Events & Reminders for details.
