Why BreederPro exists

Most breeders run a real business on spreadsheets, PayPal and group chats: pedigrees in one file, kitten weights on paper, buyers scattered across messages. We started building BreederPro in 2020 because our own cattery needed something better, and over time it became the system we wished existed.

Who builds it

Derek Wright builds BreederPro and breeds Maine Coons. He has worked in IT since the early 2000s as a systems administrator, a developer and, since 2019, a distributed systems engineer working with petabytes of data under strict security controls. A career spent on protecting data, recovering from failure, keeping data available and keeping services up shapes how BreederPro is run. Your records are backed up nightly, with a snapshot taken before every database migration. You can export everything you have entered, including your files, whenever you like. Contracts and payments keep an audit trail. We watch the service around the clock and can roll back a bad release quickly. The details are in Data & Privacy.

Tina Wright leads the genetics and breed research at Lake View Coons and runs the program in BreederPro every day, lately almost entirely through Claude. Her workflow is why so many features look the way they do.

Lake View Coons

Lake View Coons is our own cattery, and I run it together with my wife. We started it in 2019 and breed Maine Coon cats. Everything in BreederPro gets used on real litters before it ships. You can meet the family and the cats at lakeviewcoons.com.

How we work

• We are a small team and we ship often. Breeder feedback drives the roadmap.
• Your data is yours. You can export it or delete your account yourself at any time.
• We never sell your data. We never insert ourselves into your sales, and we never mediate between you and your buyers. Your buyers are yours.
