Account & Team Members
BreederPro accounts support multiple members so you can collaborate with a co-breeder or assistant.
Your account
Go to Settings > Account to:
- Update your account name
- View your current plan
- Set your timezone
- Manage members
Timezone
Settings > Account has a Timezone setting. BreederPro uses it to work out what "today" is for your account: the date Claude fills in when you don't give one, the check that stops a contact note being dated in the future, the dates Claude reports for things like when a family joined your waitlist, and the payment dates in the bookkeeping export. BreederPro sets it from your browser the first time the owner opens the app (or Settings > Account) and shows a note saying so; if that save fails, Settings shows the suggestion with a Save Timezone button to apply it. Team members see the zone read-only, or a note that the owner hasn't set one yet. If you mostly use Claude and haven't opened the app, Claude will tell you the timezone isn't set and can set it for you. If it's wrong, or you move, pick your timezone from the list. You can type a city to search. Only the account owner can change it.
The web app shows times and dates of things that happened (when a note was added, an invoice sent, a family joined the waitlist, a weight recorded) in the account timezone too, and "today" on the calendar and in new-entry forms is today there. That way the web app and Claude always agree on the day, even when you're travelling or a team member is in another timezone. Dates you pick yourself, like a birthdate or a due date, never shift.
The timezone is a city-based name such as America/New_York or Australia/Sydney (or UTC). Abbreviations like EST aren't accepted, because they don't say whether daylight saving applies.
Inviting a team member
- Go to Settings > Account.
- Click Invite Member.
- Enter their email address and click Send Invite.
They'll receive an invitation email. Once they accept, they'll have access to your breeding programs, animals, and records.
Member permissions
Currently all members share the same access level within an account. The account owner is the only one who can:
- Manage billing
- Invite or remove members
- Edit a breeding program's settings (name, species, units, custom fields, logo) or delete it
- Delete the account
Removing a member
Go to Settings > Account, find the member in the list, and click Remove. They'll lose access immediately.
Leaving an account
If you're a member (not the owner) and want to leave, go to Settings > Account and click Leave Account.
