Business Tools Overview

The Business section brings your breeding program's operational workflow into one place: applications, contracts, and invoicing. Instead of juggling separate tools for each step, BreederPro connects them in a natural funnel.

The Workflow

The typical flow for placing an animal looks like this:

  1. Application -- A buyer submits an application through a public link you share
  2. Contact -- BreederPro automatically creates (or matches) a contact from the application
  3. Contract -- You send a contract for e-signature once the buyer is approved
  4. Invoice -- You create and send an invoice after the contract is signed
  5. Placement -- Once paid, you place the animal with the buyer

You can enter at any point -- not every placement needs to go through every step. Some breeders skip applications entirely, others don't use contracts. Use what works for your program.

Finding Business Tools

Click Business in the main sidebar. You'll see sub-sections for:

  • Contacts -- Your buyer and contact list, with a dated timeline per buyer -- see Contacts and the buyer timeline
  • Applications -- Incoming buyer applications and form management
  • Contracts -- Contract templates and sent contracts
  • Invoices -- Invoice creation, sending, and payment tracking
  • Expenses -- Breeding costs, attributed to programs, litters and animals. The Export button sends expenses and payments to your bookkeeping software -- see Exporting to your bookkeeping software

Contacts are available on all plans. On Free, expenses and income share 25 entries per calendar month; editing an entry never counts, and deleting one frees its slot. The count starts again on the 1st of each month (UTC), and Settings → Billing shows how many you've used.
