Journal

The Journal is a running log of notes and observations: how a kitten is feeding, a litter's first week, a note about a show or a vet visit. Entries are private to your account, and every plan includes the Journal.

Writing an entry

Write an entry on one of two pages:

  • Journal page: the account-wide log. Use it for anything, and link the entry to an animal, a program or a litter with the selectors above the box: Select animal..., Select program... or Select litter....
  • Animal page, Journal tab: entries for that animal only. Link to the animal automatically.
  • Litter page, Journal tab: entries for that litter.

Type your note in the box, then click Save Entry.

Reading the journal

On the Journal page, entries are grouped by month, with the newest month first. An entry linked to an animal, program or litter shows that name as a link, and clicking it opens the record.

On an animal's or litter's Journal tab, only that record's entries are shown.

Editing and deleting

Each entry has Edit and Delete actions. Editing opens the entry in the box; click Save Changes to keep your change.
