Notifications

BreederPro tells you when something happens in your account that you'd otherwise have to go and check: a buyer pays an invoice, signs a contract or submits an application, or a client joins your portal.

The bell

The bell at the top of every page shows how many notifications you haven't read. Click it to see the latest ten. Click one to open the invoice, contract, application or contact it's about; that also marks it read. Mark all read clears the badge, and See all opens the Notifications page.

The bell checks for new notifications every minute, and again whenever you come back to the tab.

The Notifications page

Notifications lists everything from the last 90 days, newest first. Switch between All and Unread, or pick one kind of event (for example Invoice paid or New application) from the list. Load more shows older ones. Notifications older than 90 days are deleted automatically; the invoices, contracts and applications they point to are not affected.

Choosing what reaches you

Go to Settings > Notifications. Each event has two switches:

  • In-app: the notification appears under the bell and on the Notifications page.
  • Email: BreederPro also sends the email it has always sent for that event, to the address you sign in with. Events marked In-app only have no email.

In-app starts switched on for everyone. Email starts on for the account owner, who has always had these emails, and off for team members: a co-breeder or assistant who wants the emails turns them on. Your choices are yours alone; each team member sets their own switches without affecting anyone else's. Switching something off doesn't change the emails your buyers get, such as their receipt or their copy of a signed contract.

Browser notifications

BreederPro can also show a pop-up from your browser when a new notification arrives, as long as a BreederPro tab is open (it can be in the background). Go to Settings > Notifications and click Turn on browser notifications; your browser asks for permission. BreederPro never asks on its own.

The setting is per browser: turn it on in each browser you use. Turn off stops the pop-ups without changing the browser's permission. If you blocked notifications when the browser asked, allow them in the browser's site settings (the icon to the left of the address bar), then reload the page.

Nothing pops up once every BreederPro tab is closed, and some phones only show browser notifications from installed apps. The bell still has everything.

Asking Claude

If you've connected Claude, it can read the same notifications. Ask "What happened since yesterday?" or "Anything new?", and it can mark them read once it has told you. See Connecting Claude.
