What is BreederPro?
BreederPro is a breeding program management app for breeders of all species, including cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, and more. It helps you organize your animals, track matings and litters, manage health records, and stay on top of upcoming events.
Key concepts
Breeding Programs are the top-level organizer. You create a program (e.g. "Maine Coon Excellence"), your animals go into it, and you track all reproduction and events within it.
Animals are the core of the app. Each animal has a profile with details, health records, weight history, photos, and lineage (sire and dam).
Matings link a sire and dam within a program. When a mating is successful, you record a Litter with the resulting offspring.
Events let you track vet appointments, due dates, show entries, and other milestones on a shared calendar.
The Journal is a free-form notes section for recording observations, notes per animal, or anything else you want to track.
How to get started
- Create your first breeding program from the Dashboard or the Programs page.
- Add your animals. When you have one program, each animal you add is put in it automatically; with several, the Add Animal form asks which one.
- Added animals before creating a program? Open the program and click Add my animals to this program.
- Record matings and litters as they happen.
- Set up events and reminders so nothing slips through the cracks.
BreederPro supports custom species, so you can track whatever animals you breed, from cats and dogs to rabbits, birds, and beyond.
